Engineering clarity for complex missions.

I’m Suzanne Hoey. I work where aerospace engineering, rigorous research, artificial intelligence, and software meet—turning complicated technical information into systems, evidence, and tools people can act on.

Open to thoughtful aerospace, AI, research, and software conversations.

Selected public work

Built to support better decisions.

This portfolio intentionally includes only work that can be described publicly. Sensitive, proprietary, export-controlled, and unfinished private material is excluded.

Featured case study · Research + product engineering

GovOpportunity

GovOpportunity is an independently developed research and decision-support prototype exploring how small organizations can evaluate public-sector opportunities. I designed the research workflow, information architecture, front-end experience, and validation approach using public information only. This case study describes the product method—not customer engagements, contract outcomes, or non-public agency work.

Challenge

Turn fragmented procurement signals into a focused, explainable decision brief.

My role

Product framing, research workflow, information architecture, interface design, front-end development, privacy controls, and acceptance testing.

Status

Independent prototype · Public portfolio case study · Not an agency or customer endorsement

Quality bar

Authoritative-source traceability, explicit uncertainty, accessible interaction, and no hidden data collection.

Authoritative-source discovery, evidence synthesis, competitive and award research, uncertainty tracking, and decision-ready briefs.

04

Software development

Lean web applications, accessible front ends, automation, structured validation, privacy-by-design, and maintainable documentation.

Working approach

Rigor before polish.
Clarity before complexity.

The strongest technical work makes its assumptions visible, connects conclusions to evidence, and tests the path from idea to use.

  1. Discover

Define the real decision, constraints, stakeholders, and information boundaries.

  2. Structure

Separate evidence from inference and translate complexity into a useful model.

  3. Build

Create the smallest credible system, tool, or research product that answers the need.

  4. Validate

Test behavior, accessibility, failure modes, provenance, and privacy before release.
